Van Nuys, CA – -Motion Control – The New AU300-AER three-axis Gimbal Mount from OES (Optimal Engineering Systems, Inc.) features full 360O rotation of each axis. This three-axis gimbal mount handles loads to 10kg (22.5 lbs) and has a clearance of 300 mm x 300 mm, (11.8 in. x 11.8 in.) around the roll axis stage. The Azimuth stage rotary table is mounted on a large 360 mm (14.173 in.) x 360 mm (14.173 in.) x 13 mm (0.512 in.) plate with handles and has predrilled accessible mounting holes for easy integration into new or existing applications, and for increased stability.

(54.0 mm) wide by 5.000 in (127.0 mm) long and features a positioning resolution of 1 micron and a 0.125 in. (3.175 mm) open aperture. This precision cross roller stage has a 0.97 in. (24.6 mm) range of motion with 1.0 lb. (4.4 N) of continuous force and 3.2 lb (14.2 N) peak force. The zero cogging, clean, quiet, efficient, low inertia, high acceleration, high speed voice coil driven stage has a built-in home switch for accurate initialization.

(OES) is a very stable, high precision, high load vertical lift stage that can be easily integrated into almost any application. The large 120 mm x 180 mm (4.72 in. x 7.08 in.) drilled and tapped platform has a vertical travel of 100 mm (3.93 in.) and features: 3.315 µ (non- Micro-Step) resolution, 5 µ repeatability, and 15 µ positional accuracy. The precision ground lead screw, precision linear bearings, and the rigid box construction of the moving component of the elevator stage assures smooth, flat (parallel to mounting surface) vertical motion.

Vaughan, Ontario, Canada — Motion Control — ADVANCED Motion Controls has released a new 60A continuous FlexPro servo drive model FM060-60C-CM. This model is the second “machine embedded” version in this power range adding CANopen communication to the previously released EtherCAT version.

The 60A continuous current rating means the servo drive can operate at the 60A peak rating continuously with no need for current foldback.  This feat is impressive because the new model is in the same package size as our “micro-sized” FlexPro models meaning up to four units can fit within the footprint of a business card.

Motion Control – Voice -Coil Stage

Van Nuys, CA – Motion Control – Components -– Moticont has released the miniature GVCM-016-019-01M Linear Voice Coil Servo Motor.  Smaller in diameter than a US Dime this 15.9 mm (0.625 in.) diameter Servo motor, also called an Electric Cylinder, features a high force-to-size ratio of 1.5 N (5.3 oz) continuous force and 4.6 N (16.6 oz) of peak force.  The compact housing is just 19.1 mm (0.63 in.) long and in the fully extended position the shaft extends 20.0 mm (0.79 in.) beyond the face of the housing.  The end of the shaft has an M2.2X0.45 thread by 4.0 mm long for backlash free connections.

(OES) has introduced the XYR-300-400 Alignment Stage offering +/- 3 micron accuracy for industrial, medical, semiconductor, production, research, and laboratory applications.  The XYR-300-400 Alignment Stage features +/- 15 mm of travel in the X and Y axes and +/- 5 degrees of rotation (theta). It moves in XY-plane and rotates around the center of the XY-plane.

The XYR-300-400 Alignment Stage feature linear resolutions of the X and Y axis of 1 micron resolution with a 10 micro-steps per step motor driver and static parallelism of less than 0.05 mm.

Longmeadow, MA  — Motion Control  – Linear Motion – Lubricating Stainless Steel and Self-Aligning Linear Ball Bearings has never been easier! “New Design” pillow blocks and flange blocks from LM76, features a lubrication fitting, and an alignment set screw in the pillow blocks and flange blocks, and the Stainless Steel and self aligning linear bearings are modified by having an alignment flat ground on the bearings’ outer shell and drilling a hole through the outer shell.

Lubricants can then be pumped directly inside of linear ball bearing races without having to remove the bearing from the shaft. The Pillow and Flange Blocks also have been designed to accommodate an encapsulated ETX Scraper Seals that prevents contaminants from getting inside the bearing and retains the lubricant in the bearing.

(25.4 mm) in diameter and 2.75 in (69.9 mm) long.  Inside the motor housing, the linear optical quadrature encoder is directly connected to the shaft for the greatest possible accuracy.

The answer: The MCC Series of stepper and servo motor controllers from OES (Optimal Engineering Systems) which are designed to control from one to four axes of motion for users without prior motion control experience. These MCC controllers integrate a motion control card and operator interface in one package. Having a user-friendly interface, they allow the user to operate the motion controller, without the need for a PC, PLC, host controller, or programming.
