Motion Control – Electric Cylinder

Van Nuys, CA – Motion Control Components – Moticont has added two linear motors to it’s SDLM Series of high speed direct drive linear motors which are also know as Electric Cylinders. These compact drives with a 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) stroke are just 1.00 in. (25.4 mm) in diameter and 3.75 in. (95.3 mm) long. These direct drive linear motors feature resolutions of 5 µm (0.000197 in.) and 1.25 µm (0.000049 in.) The integral, linear optical quadrature encoder is directly connect to the shaft for the greatest possible accuracy.

(9.5 mm) in diameter and the length at mid-stroke is just 0.81 in. (20.7 mm) long. The 60A continuous current rating means the servo drive can operate at the 60A peak rating continuously with no need for current foldback.  This feat is impressive because the new model is in the same package size as our “micro-sized” FlexPro models meaning up to four units can fit within the footprint of a business card.

Van Nuys, CA – Motion Control – Components -– Moticont has released the miniature GVCM-016-019-01M Linear Voice Coil Servo Motor.  Smaller in diameter than a US Dime this 15.9 mm (0.625 in.) diameter Servo motor, also called an Electric Cylinder, features a high force-to-size ratio of 1.5 N (5.3 oz) continuous force and 4.6 N (16.6 oz) of peak force.  The compact housing is just 19.1 mm (0.63 in.) long and in the fully extended position the shaft extends 20.0 mm (0.79 in.) beyond the face of the housing.  The end of the shaft has an M2.2X0.45 thread by 4.0 mm long for backlash free connections.
